310S stainless steel hot-rolled sheet can be resistant to air, steam, water or other weak corrosive media and acid, alkali, salt environment. The corrosion resistance of the 304 stainless steel sheet depend on the content of alloying elements in the steel. Chromium is the basic element to obtain corrosion resistance of stainless steel. When the content of chromium reach about 12%, In the role of oxygen for chromium and corrosive media it shall form a thin layer of oxide film (self-passivation film) in the steel surface which can prevent further corrosion of the steel matrix.
Applications:
It is used for storage, pressure and processing tanks, pipe and tubing, enclosures, cabinets, and housings for all industries, especially the marine, transportation, architectural, chemical and food processing industries.
