17-4 PH steel belong to martensitic precipitation hardening stainless steel. “17-4” refers to “Gr17 Ni4”, and “PH” on behalf of “precipitation hardening stainless steel”, the performance characteristic of 17-4 PH steel is it’s strength level can be adjusted by change the heat during the treatment process.17-7 PH steel has good forming performance and good weldability, as well as good resistance and strong water resistance. So 17-7 PH possess excellent corrosion resistance of austenitic steel and powerful mechanical properties of martensitic steel, it can be used in nuclear industry and aerospace industry as an ultra high strength materials.
