What’s the difference of Q235A, Q235B, Q235C, Q235D and Q235E ?
A lot of customers are feeling confused of the difference of Q235A, Q235B, Q235C, Q235D and Q235E, Please check the introduce details from JAWAYSTEEL as below:
Q235A,Q235B,Q235C,Q235D,Q235E stand for different grades. The main difference is about the shock of temperature.
A means the degrees should be over 40 degree centigrade.
B means the degrees should be over 20 degree centigrade.
C means the degrees should be over 0 degree centigrade.
D means the degrees should be over -20 degree centigrade.
E means the degrees should be over -40 degree centigrade.
From Q235A to Q235E, for respectively:
Q235A grade: do not shock;
Q235B grade: 20 degree centigrade ambient temperature shock;
Q235C grade: The shock with 0 degree centigrade;
Q235D grade: -20 degree centigrade shock;
Q235E grade: -40 degree centigrade shock.
The impact value is also different according to the impact of different temperature.
Element content:
The content of Sulfur from A, B, C, D is decreased by degress decrease successively. The contents of Sulfur are same in A and B. Then C followed, D with the lest content.
Chemical composition:
Low-alloy plate
Q235 could be divided into A, B, C, D four grades (GB/T 700-2006)
Q235A grade, including C ≤0.22% Mn ≤1.4% Si ≤0.35% S ≤0.050 P ≤0.045;
Q235B grade, including C ≤0.20% Mn ≤1.4% Si ≤0.35% S ≤0.045 P ≤0.045;
Q235C grade, including C ≤0.17% Mn ≤1.4% Si ≤0.35% S ≤0.040 P ≤0.040;
Q235D grade, including C ≤0.17% Mn ≤1.4% Si ≤0.35% S ≤0.035 P ≤0.035.
