304 Stainless coil, the most widely used of the stainless and heat resisting steels. 304 stainless coil offers good corrosion resistance to many chemical corrodents as well as industrial atmospheres and marine environments Typical specifications for 304 coil and 304L Stainless Steel coil are ASTM A-240, ASME SA -240 and A666.
304 Stainless Steel coil has very good formability and can be readily welded by all common methods. 304/304L dual certified.
The two most commonly used stainless steels, 304, 316 (or 1.4308, 1.4408 corresponding to the German/European Standard), 316 and 304, are chemically different from 316 in that they contain Mo. It is generally accepted that 316 is more resistant to corrosion than 304 at high temperatures.

304 stainless sheet is used for stamped and machined parts and components for processing equipment for the foodservice, medical device, chemical, petrochemical, marine and power transmission industries.
